Tuition Rates/ Payment Options
Tuition Rates
Tuition also covers all classroom supplies such as books, notebooks and a daily, nutritious snack for children under school age. Our 12 month tuition payment schedule is from March to February with payments beginning in March for the coming school year.
Payment Options
While paying for a private school education seems like a tremendous commitment, there are many options available to make this dream a reality. As with other independent schools, Hilltop utilizes FACTS, a third-party financing service which offers a no-interest payment plan on a 12-month schedule. Additionally, we also partner with Your Tuition Solution, which offers a payment plan that can be spread over 84 months at a low percentage rate. Our business manager is also happy to work with families that need other payment arrangements.
Financial Assistance
Hilltop Montessori School also offers financial assistance to families through the Cindi Stehr Scholarship Program, named in honor of our founder. Financial aid is awarded on an annual basis and must be requested each year but consideration is given to families with multiple children, single-parent households and extenuating circumstances where both parents are working. We encourage each family that has a financial need to reach out to hms@hilltopmontessori.com. The mission of the Cindi Stehr Scholarship Fund is to assist as many families in need as possible each year with priority given to faculty children and grandchildren, returning families with both parents working and families with extreme need.
Financial awards can be paired with FACTS or Your Tuition Solution payments to make monthly payments very affordable. It should also be noted that children under school age are eligible for tax benefits in households with two working parents so check with your tax professional for assistance with this matter.

Applying for Assistance
Any family interested in seeking financial aid for the next academic year must let the business office know of their intentions in December of the current academic year. They should then complete and file an application with the office in January prior to the next academic year and complete and file a Parents’ Financial Statement by February 1. The school should also be sent a copy of the PFS statement, W2’s for both parents and a letter stating financial need. Financial Assistance is awarded by March 1 for the following academic year. Current HMS families should be in good financial standing in order to be considered for aid.
Financial aid cannot be considered after these deadlines. All paperwork is due in the office by February 1 so that awards can be given by March 1. To apply for assistance, complete a Parent Financial Statement at School and Student Services (the school code is 1884). Submit the following items to our admissions office through email at hms@hilltopmontessori.com:
- Your PFS financial aid application
- A completed Hilltop Montessori application
- Your most recent income tax statement
- A letter of need
We look forward to assisting you in making Montessori affordable.
