A Haven for Learning
Curiosity, and happiness, come to life in a place where children are allowed to follow their interests and explore their surroundings. Hilltop Montessori School, literally and figuratively, creates a haven for growth every day with students moving and active inside classrooms filled with advanced educational materials designed to engage them in hands-on learning and also outdoors with time spent in gardens and on a school campus that has been designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
“Hilltop allowed me to learn how I needed to learn, not how others thought I should.” Hilltop Alumni
Montessori Learning Environments Fully Engage Students,
Individually and as Community Members
Multi-age classrooms create a community that allows students to teach and learn, lead and follow, and cooperate and collaborate. Students actively work with each other in what becomes a family-like setting. An extremely low teacher-student ratio offers for an individualized education that permits each child to reach his or her own potential.
Montessori education fosters a child’s natural curiosity, instills a love of learning and provides one of the most effective and efficacious academic learning environments. Studies have demonstrated that children educated within a Montessori system are more prepared academically and socially than their peers.
Students operate within a balanced structure of freedoms and responsibilities, free to follow their inspirations with work that stimulates and satisfies their inner motivations while remaining responsible for tackling challenging and difficult work head-on. Through autonomy and collaboration, students are fully prepared for the 21st century.
“The freedom of individuality was priceless and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to excel to my fullest potential.”Hilltop Alumni
